First and foremost I am a child of the living God, saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I am also the wife of a military man, stay-at-home-mom, homeschooler, and soon-to-be Nana.
I married my high school sweetheart ~ we have been married almost 19 years. We have a daughter, two sons, and a 5-year-old black Lab. We live in the mid-south where it’s hotter than hades and more humid than a sauna. The northwest is my childhood home, but my favorite state is Alaska. I’ve lived in 9 states, a few of them more than once.
My passions include reading, Bible study, knitting and crochet (I’m a yarn-aholic), any and all papercrafts, and photography. My newest hobby is sewing ~ someday I’ll have a stash of fabric as large as my stash of yarn (I hope!).
Our daughter is grown, and will bless us with our first grandchild in July 2008. During the school year, our older son attends a residential math & science high school ~ he will graduate in late May 2008, then plans to attend the University of Arkansas as an Honors College Fellow. Our younger son is currently homeschooling.
I hope to someday have the house paid off, the kids through college, and finally have a Yorkshire terrier I will name Annie. After Hubby retires (really retires, not just from the AF), our plan is to be “snowbirds”; we’ll live in Alaska during the summer, and Arizona during the winter.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
~ Galatians 2:20
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
~ Galatians 5:22-23
